Booking
We are a very in-demand, high-end portrait studio and limit the number of appointments that we accept based on our capacity to create stunning pieces of art for our clients around the world.
For every appointment we block out two hours for your family and are bringing in our staff specifically for you. Our session fees are in place to assure that we are booking serious and committed clients. If you are a client who books with a gift certificate, the session fee is fully refundable on the day of your session (as long as you show for your appointment).
Cancellation
The session fee or deposit is not refundable if you cancel within 14 days of your scheduled appointment. Any change needs to be made over the phone 603-570-2600, we do not accept changes via email or text.
Reschedules
Session fees or deposits for rescheduled appointments with more than two weeks notice are applied to the new appointment. Rescheduling an appointment with less than two weeks notice will result in a loss of the fee. Rebooking a portrait session within 14 days will result in a new fee collection.
Proofing
All portrait selections are made right after your session experience. If there are additional people who may need to be present for the selection process, please invite them for the entire experience. We have the capability to showcase artwork on our proofing walls in different sizes for up to 5 people. Please come prepared with sizing dimensions for your walls. Part of our art direction will include providing suggestions for multi-portrait selection. We require an additional fee for additional proof viewings.
Pets
We photograph pets Monday - Thursday. When you visit our studio with your pet there will be another fur baby before and after yours. The studio is not exclusively photographing your pet.
For this reason, all pets are required to remain on leads while in the studio. If your pet has shown signs of aggression we will not allow your pet to enter our studio for the safety of our staff and our clients. Dogs who are “reactive” are not encouraged to be photographed at our studio. While we take special measures and precautions with your animal we cannot promise our flash lighting will not set them off.
All pet parents are required to show a current rabies vaccination when entering the studio.
Pet appointments are required to put down a $100 cleaning deposit on top of our regular deposit. Should your animal soil our carpets, floors, or walls the $100 deposit will not be returned to you. If your animal does soil our studio you will be required to clean your animal’s mess.

What is your session fee?
Our session fee is $200 and covers your portrait experience as well as your exclusive portrait proofing. Please plan to be with us for approximately 2 hours.
We are not formal people, can we still have our portrait made?
If you are not formal people you may dress in all dark colored tops. See our Portrait Attire and Gallery for wardrobe examples. Please make special considerations when choosing your outfits for your forever portraits.
What do we wear for our session?

How can I register my gift certificate?

I don’t want to be in the portrait, can you only photograph my child?
If you have received a gift certificate exclusively for a family portrait, all members of the family must be present and included in order to redeem your portrait session. Children under 5 years of age may not be photographed alone. If your child is well behaved we will ask them to partake in individual portraits at no additional charge.
I only want digital files, do you provide those?
Like most businesses we generally have on going specials and promotions. Please enquire with your Art Director at your viewing appointment for our Digital Masters Collection.
What products do you have?
We have fine art wall portraits and portrait boxes available at the studio.
We want to make a dinner reservation, when is it safe to plan for that?
Because we a bringing people together most enjoy having a meal together after their portrait session. Please allow 2 hours for your time in the studio and make your reservation 2 1/2 -3 hours after your portrait session start time so you do not feel rushed.
I have a certificate, why do I have to pay a session fee?

We block out our studio and staff, who come in from out of town, for two hours for every appointment. Our session fees are in place to assure that we are booking serious and committed clients. If you are a client who books with a gift certificate, the session fee is fully refundable on the day of your session (as long as you show for your appointment).
What do we need to do to prepare?
Many people who come to us have their hair and makeup professionally done before arrival. We also recommend removing old nail polish, having hair cut and colored at least a week in advance. If you are applying your own makeup, pay special attention to your eyes with heavier mascara and liner to really accentuate your eyes.
How long is our appointment?
Plan for the entire family to be with us for 2 hours. We do have a client lounge where teens are able to stay while parents choose their portraits. Upon request we have child wrangling and entertainment available.
How can I buy a gift certificate?
Call us (603) 570-2600! We offer several options when you purchase a gift certificate in advance.
May I transfer my gift certificate?
All certificates are for a family portrait session and are non-transferrable.
What do portraits cost?
Artwork commissions range from $1000 and can go up to life-size $10,000+.
Do you provide framing?
We are not a framing company but as a convenience for our clients we provide framing for masterpiece portraits only, for less than retail rates. All portraits that Mallory Portraits frames will come with a lifetime guarantee. See our framing info.
